Nelia’s artistic career began when she was selected from among New York City high school students to exhibit her work at Lever House and sold her first painting. She works in acrylic on canvas and has a distinctive style, utilizing bold brush strokes. Nelia studied on scholarship at the Art Students League and attended School of Visual Arts and the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning in Queens.
