Barry Kahn was born in 1979 and lives in Rockville Center, New York with his parents. Passionate about drawing since the age of three, Barry began attending the Pure Vision Art studio in 2005. Working with markers and paper, Barry creates unique drawings that juxtapose intricate geometric patterns with distorted human faces and figures. Many of these surrealistic drawings are unsettling and many are inspired by actual dreams and nightmares. To quote Barry, “My drawings are like dreams in that sometimes they don’t make sense.” Barry’s work is included in numerous collections both at home and abroad.
